What's my story?
My life and career started off in Northern California, but I have definitely lived in San Diego long enough to call it my home (even if I still accidentally say "hella" occasionally and do own some Raiders gear)! When I'm not working on the show I love martial arts, cooking, exploring San Diego, writing, reading, video games, hanging out with my little homie Arturo, my dog Buster, and my kickass wife Lindsey. I've never broken a bone but I've scratched my eyeball twice and I love a good sandwich! For a "grown up who never grew up" hosting a show like ours is a dream come true, so like I say at the end of every show…:THANK YOU for being a part of AJ in the Morning!" |

My new dedication to hitting the gym every day right after work is
going well. I had a bit of a dilemma yesterday though. I arrived at the
gym, headed to the locker room and started to change into my workout
gear. T-shirt? check! Shorts? Check! Shoes? Uh oh!
I had
forgotten my athletic shoes and it happened to be a day that I dressed
up and was wearing dress shoes. My choices were clear: Either cancel
the workout and go home or just work out in shorts, a t-shirt and dress
shoes! My decision? Rock the dress shoes! After all, I'm a grown man
why am I going to waste energy worrying about what a bunch of strangers
think of my show? I had a decent workout and honestly, hardly anybody
seemed to notice.

$20,000 DOO DOO?!
The
owners of a Maryland jewelry store said a $20,000 diamond dropped in
the shop by a dealer was immediately snatched up and swallowed by their
dog. Robert Rosin, one of the owners of Robert Bernard Jewelry Store
in Rockville, said a diamond dealer brought the three-plus carat rock
to the store to show the owners and dropped the valuable gem on the
floor in front of Soli, a rescue dog owned by George Kaufmann, another
owner of the store, WJLA-TV, Washington, reported Monday.
"Twenty thousand dollars -- that is all I could think about," Rosin said.
Kaufmann said a vet told him the best way to get the diamond out of Soli's belly was to wait for it to pass by natural means.
"It
was not that pleasant," Kaufmann said. "I followed him; I had to pick
up his stuff; I had to go through the things. I can understand what it
was like in the old Gold Rush. I felt like I had just hit pay dirt."
He said the diamond came out after three days and was returned to the dealer.
"It was a happy ending to say the least," Kaufmann said.
SIN FASTER THAN EVER IN SIN CITY
Love
making a weekend getaway to Las Vegas but hate having to wait upwards
of 15 minutes to start partying after you arrive? Good news! The city's
airport may start selling booze at the baggage claim!!
The idea
would make the Vegas airport the first in the nation to offer such a
service, airport director Randall Walker told Clark County
commissioners at a meeting last month. At that meeting, the commission
that oversees the facility was receptive to the idea and voted
unanimously to have Walker spend 30 days preparing to put the project
out for bid.
"It's something that tourists were requesting, and we're a tourist town," she said. "I think it's a good idea."

IN JAPAN, THE BILLBOARD WATCHES YOU
Retailers in Japan are targeting individual shoppers with new digital
billboards. Cameras in the the billboards identify the age and sex of
those walking by then display the products they think you might be
interested in. The makers claim images of faces are erased immediately
but some consumers fear the billboards will capture their expressions
and responses to the ads. Stores here in the U.S. have started testing
another system which texts vouchers and offers to customers' phones
within a mile of a branch. Around 65% of people receiving the alerts
went into the shop. SOURCE: http://tinyurl.com/billboardwatchesyou
TEXT FROM THE GRAVE?
A
new high-tech device that can be implanted into a headstone will allow
the deceased to speak from the grave through text messages sent to
other people's cell phones. The company claims the headstone can send
messages for up to 3,200 years.
Personal RosettaStones, launched by Objects LLC
last month, are small stone tablets embedded with Radio Frequency
Identification tags that can store up to 1,000 words and a picture, ABCNews.com reports.
Before
he/she passes away, the consumer will write a message on the Personal
RosettaStone. The message then can be transmitted to anyone who has a
web-enabled cell phone. The information is stored on a microchip and is
beamed via text message when the tag recognizes compatible technology
on a visitors phone. ---------------------- LINKS
